Poorly designed for Kindle I wish I had seen the reviews for this "Kindle" version. There is NO table of contents, no way to navigate through to a specific section of the scriptures. I am very disappointed.
Needs some method of navigation The words are all there, but if you want to read Matthew 4:11, forget it. It's just the words, front to back. There's not any table of contents at all so not only can you not get to Matthew 4:11, you can't even get to Matthew. If you want to read front to back or just jump in at a random spot, this might be alright. For looking up specific verses, however, it's essentially useless.
Worthless on Kindle This was the first book I ordered for my Kindle and was surprised to find it had no Table of Contents or a way to search for a Chapter. Bibles aren't usually read from start to finish. I wanted a Bible I could take to church and follow along as the pastor read. With this one, that would be impossible.
Don't buy it for the Kindle I would give the Kindle version zero stars if possible. It's $3.19 totally wasted. Other books I ordered for my Kindle had a table of contents, so when I ordered this Bible, I was shocked to find that it did would not have one. Unfortunately, the other reviewers finding that same problem had not yet posted when I placed my order, so I join them in warning others to avoid this version for Kindle. Its lack of a table of contents is a major flaw and makes it basically useless for the Kindle. I removed the one I purchased, and I'm just cheap enough to really resent having to throw money in the trash, even if it is only $3.19.
One reason I looked forward to receiving my Kindle is that I thought it would be an easy way to read the Bible at a print-size comfortable for no-longer-young eyes without trying to support a large and heavy Bible in no-longer-young hands. I also expected Kindle to make searching easy, and it should in a Bible properly formatted for the Kindle. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to yet be such a Bible. While I wait for what I really want, I'll use the importantia Bible, which isn't perfect, but is the best I've found, and at only 80 cents, it's practically free.
I do love my Kindle, but I wish I could find a good Bible for it. I prefer the King James Version (I just like to think for myself.), so I haven't looked at other versions for the Kindle.
Un-navigable! Don't buy this edition of the Bible for your Kindle. No table of contents... really. The only way to navigate it is through the location function. There you have the option of choosing lines from 1 to 34020. Just ridiculous!
