 Poignant and enriching
Excellent collection of prose and poetry which captures the gist of the challenges facing Muslim women in post 9/11 America by giving a voice to the unheard. This anthology provides an interesting starting point for readers to understand Islam through the experiences of women telling their own stories. The material lends itself easily to class discussion and homework and offers the dual asset of being enriching and poignant. A must have!

If you are looking to hear the diversity within the Muslim women community then you should definitely check this book out. It combines different forms of art to express the many experiences Muslim women face in their private and public lives. The words and other artwork jump off the page and engage every reader in a process of reflection that will open up your mind. I would suggest that everyone read this book!!

Highly recommend this book to educators to use in the classroom.
Excellent anthology revealing the ideas of Muslim Women
Excellent anthology of essays, poetry, short fiction, and artwork which showcases the voices of Muslim women living in the West. The issues they discuss are far ranging but at the heart they are all questioning their identity and the perception of their identity by the Western media.
An Empowering Book!
